We are looking for the new MANAGING DIRECTOR of the Italian branch of an established and ambitious international company in the manufacturing industry.
The objectives are to lead the team and develop the business.
They will report directly to the HQ based in another European country. All the interview processes and part of daily activities will be in English, so we are looking for someone who is fluent both in Italian and English.
Who are you? You will be an experienced Sales Director or CEO and you will lead the Italian branch and oversee all business and commercial operations. You will be responsible for the Sales, Marketing and Technical Support Departments, and for the people in the team. You will have a strong experience working within technical/engineering industry and have already held a senior management/directorship/C-Level position.
Tasks and responsibilities:
SALES - Oversee the whole Sales, Marketing and the Technical Support departments in accordance with the direction established in the strategic plan. - Provide actionable solutions to the team to implement the most efficient processes and achieve company’s objectives and strategies. - Develop and implement sales strategies, maximizing sales opportunities and opening up new sales channels. - Visit clients to provide the solutions to meet their needs - Create a customer strategy that strengthens and widens customer relationships. - Define and act the yearly business plan for the country, budget, forecast and sales reporting.
ORGANIZATION - Lead, direct, motivate and evaluate the team. - Be the point of contact between the headquarter and the Italian branch and carry out the company’s strategies. - Implement new processes/procedures and special group-wide projects in the Italian branch.
- Engineering or other technical degree or equivalent knowledge. - Proven experience as a CEO, Managing director, or other Managerial position within technical or engineering contexts, ideally in medium-size companies. - Established and demonstrable experience in sales, business development, marketing management and commercial strategy with a good understanding of the automotive and manufacturing industries. - Demonstrable experience in developing profitable strategies and implementing plans. - Strong organizational and leadership skills. Team spirit and the ability to work closely with both the international board and the Italian management team. - Excellent interpersonal and communicational skills, combined with commitment and determination.
Languages: Fluent in Italian. Must be fluent in English as well, for regular interactions with the Head Office. Other European languages are considered a plus.
IT: Strong understanding of the most common Office software and reporting tools (e.g. Excel). Ideally, knowledge of some of the main software used for technical design/production.
OFFER Pay grade and salary: They will be commensurate with the actual competence and experience level of the candidate.
Working place: Piemonte. The role is office-based so we are looking for someone who lives or is willing to relocate to within a commutable distance of the company's site. There are regular travels to clients and occasional travels to the European headquarter.
Working hours: Full time. Some flexibility may be required.
Starting date: Immediate or according to candidate’s notice.
