Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026 is the Organizing Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games of 2026, carrying on the organization, promotion and communication of the sporting and cultural events related to the next Winter Games. We are driven by the following values: respect, determination, legacy, engagement and sustainability. Milano Cortina 2026 will be the first large-scale Olympics in history: 13 Olympic venues, 21 provincial capitals, 2,300 municipalities directly involved, over an area of 22,000 square km. The Milano Cortina 2026 Organizing Committee has been established in 2019 with the purpose of organizing Olympic and Paralympic Games in compliance with the Host City Contract signed jointly by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the two cities of Milano and Cortina and the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI). Furthermore, the Italian Paralympic Committee, the Regions of Lombardy and Veneto, as well as the Autonomous Provinces of Trento and Bolzano/Bozen are all partners in this major national-level project, with the support of the Italian Government.
The candidate will be involved in following activities: - Sport Management Support: Assist the Sport Manager and the Deputy Sport manager in planning and coordinating activities across all competition and non-competition venues, ensuring alignment with the overall Games vision.
- Training and Development: Participate in joint training programs with the Foundation to enhance knowledge and skills relevant to venue sport management.
- Operational Simulations: Participate in "dry runs" (tabletop simulations, rehearsals) to assess venue functionality within the larger cluster, identify potential issues, and propose solutions.
- Test Event Organization: Assist in the planning and execution of test events at competition venues, ensuring readiness for the Games.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the Sport Functional Area Manager and other stakeholders to ensure that staffing needs are met effectively.
- Venue Readiness and Simulation: Collaborate with the Sport Management Functional Area and other functional areas in assessing venue readiness and conducting simulations to optimize operations.
- Games-Time Support: During the Games period, provide on-site support to the Sport Management Functional Area, managing venue teams, addressing issues, and ensuring smooth operations.
- Availability: Full-time availability leading up to and during the Games.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Passion: Enthusiasm for sports and the Olympic movement.
- Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational and time-management skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to solve problems and make sound decisions under pressure.
- Flexibility: Adaptability and willingness to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Language: Fluency in Italian and English (or other relevant languages) is highly desirable.
