Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026 is the Organizing Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games of 2026, carrying on the organization, promotion and communication of the sporting and cultural events related to the next Winter Games. Milano Cortina 2026 will be the first large-scale Olympics in history: 13 Olympic venues, 21 provincial capitals, 2,300 municipalities directly involved, over an area of 22,000 square km. The Milano Cortina 2026 Organizing Committee has been established in 2019 with the purpose of organizing Olympic and Paralympic Games in compliance with the Host City Contract signed jointly by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the two cities of Milano and Cortina and the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI). Furthermore, the Italian Paralympic Committee, the Regions of Lombardy and Veneto, as well as the Autonomous Provinces of Trento and Bolzano/Bozen are all partners in this major national-level project, with the support of the Italian Government.
We are looking for Olympic & Paralympic Torchbearer Coordinator.
The resource will be responsible for:
·Coordinates and helps the OTR & PTR team in building and developing the TB application with IT and Technology ·Manages all activities related to TB selection and route allotment for OTR & PTR ·Coordinates relationship with PP and sponsors related to TB selection and allotment ·Coordinates relationship with Local Authorities and MiCo stakeholder regarding TB allotment ·Manages activities with the OTR and PTR Production Companies on torchbearers operational aspects (contacts, uniforms, recall, replacement, shuttle manifest) ·Coordinates the activities of the OTR and PTR Command Centre related to TB ·Coordinates the slotting of selected TB on the relay route ·Coordinates final recall to TB’s and eventually replacement of assigned TB’s during the Relay
·Great informatic skills with precise mindset and attention to details ·Previous experience in data management and organizing secretariat ·Communication and marketing skills ·Fluent in communicating and writing both in Italian and English ·Good knowledge of the Italian territory and its different realities ·University degree and highest level of education: able to speak and interact with International and National Public Authorities, International Partners, General Public ·Team work and positive attitude ·Flexible, well organised; customer service oriented ·Able to withstand stress during peak periods ·Polite and friendly ·Available to travel daily for long period and during the event for more than 2 weeks ·At ease with everyone, no matter the situation, standing, reputation.
