Pavimar S.A. is looking for a Crew Operator.

The successful candidate will be part of the Company’s Crew Department and will report to the Head of Manning.

Responsibilities

• Ensures the procedures regarding the vessel’s manning and seagoing personnel training are correctly implemented.
• Selects qualified crew according to all standard operating procedures and guidelines of STCW & flag state- vessel requirements and plans their assignment on specific vessels.
• Coordinates the crew travel arrangements and visa required formalities with the Manning Agents and/or Travel Agents in order to ensure crew safe embarkation or disembarkation.
• Maintains and updates personal medical and training records as well as certification data for all vessels’ personnel.
• Deals with accounting crew matters concerning cash advances etc.
• Checks invoices regarding crew expenses.
• Enters all crew-related information into company’s database.

• At least 2 years previous professional experience as Crew Operator or 3 years as Crew Assistant
• Preferably Maritime related studies
• Familiar with ISM, ISPS, MLC, ISO 9001 & 14001 requirements
• Familiar with STCW
• Excellent command of Greek & English languages
• Good interpersonal & communication skills (verbal & written)
• Proven team player
• Ability to interact between shore and ship teams
• PC Literate (MS Office, Benefit ERP will be a plus)
• Able to work under pressing deadlines
• Previous experience within a manning agency will be considered a plus
