Pavimar S.A. is looking for a Crew Operator. The successful candidate will be part of the Company’s Crew Department and will report to the Head of Manning. Responsibilities - Ensures the procedures regarding the vessel’s manning and seagoing personnel training are correctly implemented.
- Selects qualified crew according to all standard operating procedures and guidelines of STCW & flag state- vessel requirements and plans their assignment on specific vessels.
- Coordinates the crew travel arrangements and visa required formalities with the Manning Agents and/or Travel Agents in order to ensure crew safe embarkation or disembarkation.
- Maintains and updates personal medical and training records as well as certification data for all vessels’ personnel.
- Deals with accounting crew matters concerning cash advances etc.
- Checks invoices regarding crew expenses.
- Enters all crew-related information into company’s database.
- At least 2 years previous professional experience as Crew Operator or 3 years as Crew Assistant
- Preferably Maritime related studies
- Familiar with ISM, ISPS, MLC, ISO 9001 & 14001 requirements
- Familiar with STCW
- Excellent command of Greek & English languages
- Good interpersonal & communication skills (verbal & written)
- Proven team player
- Ability to interact between shore and ship teams
- PC Literate (MS Office, Benefit ERP will be a plus)
- Able to work under pressing deadlines
- Previous experience within a manning agency will be considered a plus
