Eurobase are building on 30+ years of growth. We have challenged ourselves to adopting a DevOps mindset and moving from a manual based software release model to an automated one. We are well on track to achieve our goal but are expanding our team to go even further. We are looking for a Junior DevOps Engineer who can build and deliver internal software systems and tools that will enable frictionless delivery of our platform to brand new and existing clients.
We are seeking a Junior DevOps Engineer to help us manage and maintain our software development infrastructure. You will assist with the development and deployments of projects whilst we continue to transition from a traditional build and release deployments to a DevOps process. The ideal candidate will have both the technical and soft skills to seamless integrate with multiple teams and stakeholders as well as being process driven.
Responsibilities:
• Assist in the deployment and configuration of technologies and tools used in software development, including build servers and version control systems. • Build and release software packages ensuring deployments are fit for purposes, transition through the SDLC quality gates and follow best practice to ensure deployments are successful. • Create and maintain scripts and automation tools to simplify infrastructure administration and software deployment. • Work with the development team and peers to resolve problems with software deployments.

• SDLC knowledge - branching, build, deployment, release, (Git, knowledge about CI/CD framework, TFS/Azure DevOps/Jenkins, TeamCity). • Coding knowledge and best practices - an understanding of coding languages and practices ideally c, cb.net, solid principles and SQL server. • Scripting - Knowledge in at least one scripting language, preferably powershell. • Data - Basic knowledge of data structures/databases preferably MSSQL. • Experience in a technical role such as Software Engineer with familiarity of scripting languages, such as Powershell, BASH. Alternatively, experience in a process driven role with an aptitude to will also be considered. • You will ideally have experience using the WiX toolset, and knowledge of continuous delivery pipelines. • History of working on projects that have measurable improvements to the delivery of software to clients. • Worked closely with clients/peers at a technical and infrastructure levels to configure and deploy client hosted systems. • Collaborated with 3rd party managed services to integrate with production and deployment systems. • Knowledge of the principles, techniques and processes involved in planning and delivering software development projects. • Experience investigating problems and can work with the relevant teams, managing through to resolution. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adjust communication to all levels within the business. • Self-starter, highly proactive and able to prioritise and manage workload in a busy team.
