Mediobanca is seeking a Data Scientist with a strong statistical background eager to work on the enhancement of the value of financial business related data by applying data-driven methodologies. More specifically, the role holder will: - collect, examine, and analyze large amounts of financial data to identify patterns, trends, and opportunities useful for informed investment strategies and business decisions to be taken;
- utilize advanced statistical methods to develop models for the implementation of business cases;
- create customized tools and algorithms to automate complex processes, enhance efficiency and provide innovative solutions for business needs;
- supervise and actively participate to the implementation of the Group's AI data platform;
- proactively introduce the necessary governance for the implementation of AI use cases.
In a challenging yet collaborative work environment, the candidate will contribute to oversee several initiatives to move the data agenda forward and will be part of a broader transformation program at Group level without losing sight of regulatory requirements. We are looking for motivated professionals with 2-4 years of work experience and a Bachelor or Master Degree in quantitative or business related subjects, such as Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science. The main skills required are: - strong knowledge of statistical methodologies, modeling techniques, and machine learning algorithms;
- advanced programming skills, particularly in languages such as Python, R and one query language like SQL;
- understanding of fundamental principles of financial activities and capital markets;
- ability to work both autonomously and in team;
- excellent communication skills and ability to clearly present analysis results to non-technical stakeholders;
- strong intellectual curiosity and willingness to explore new approaches;
- a brief experience on NLP and Generative AI will be considered as a plus;
- proficiency in both written and spoken Italian and English languages.
